Rewards & Recognition for Academic Excellence

EDUSAVE MERIT BURSARY (EMB)

All Singaporean students in Government and Government-aided schools, junior colleges/centralised institute, independent schools or institutions, specialised schools or Institute of Technical Education who are not recipients of any Edusave Scholarship are eligible for the Edusave Merit Bursary if they are within the top 25% of each level and course in their schools and their monthly gross household income does not exceed $6,000 (previously at $5,000 in 2014). To benefit students from bigger households, they are also eligible if their per capita household income, i.e. gross household income divided by the number of household members, does not exceed $1,500 (previously at $1,250 in 2014).

The values of the Edusave Merit Bursary for each level are as follows:

  • $200 for Primary 1 to 3
  • $250 for Primary 4 to 6
  • $350 for Secondary 1 to 5
  • $400 for Pre-University 1 to 3
  • $500 for Institute of Technical Education

庄竹林博士奖学金 Dr Chuang Chu-Lin Scholarship

为了纪念我校第一任校长庄竹林博士一生对教育的贡献,中正校友设立了“庄竹林博士奖学金”。这项奖学金是颁给各源流,全级第一名的学生。

To commemorate the contribution of our school’s first principal, Dr Chuang Chu Lin to education, the scholarship is awarded to students from their respective streams for being first in their standard (Sec 1 to 3).

庄为琅卓越数学奖 Chuang Wei Lang Mathematics Award

自2010年起,我校颁发庄为琅卓越数学奖给在数学科表现优异的学生。这个奖项是由庄为琅校长的学生,同时也是中正董事会副主席的许仁美博士所建议的,为的是对在数学科表现优异的学生予以肯定,同时,向一生投身于数学教育工作的中正分校1970年至1978年的校长,庄为琅女士致敬。

Chuang Wei Lang Mathematics Awards are for students who have achieved outstanding results in Mathematics. This award has been proposed by our School Management Committee Vice-Chairman Dr Jimmy Koh who was also a former student of Mdm Chuang. Mdm Chuang Wei Lang was a devoted Mathematics teacher who served as former principal of Chung Cheng High School (Branch)  from 1970 to 1978.
