Chinese Dance

DSC_1340-edited2.jpg

Chinese Dance is made up of aspiring and motivated dancers who all share the same passion for their craft. Our weekly practices see a fusion of ballet, Chinese ethnic dance and contemporary dance moves.

In Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) 2013, the students did our school proud by winning the Distinction award through sheer hard work and determination. Apart from national competitions, the Chinese Dance group also actively takes part in school performances and community public performances every year.

In 2015,  the Chinese Dance was invited by Singapore Association of Chinese Clan Associations to perform in River Hongbao (春到河畔). Singapore celebrates 50th year of independence in 2015 and as a mark of respect for our pioneer generation, we performed a dance “The story of Samsui Woman”. We were also honoured to be part of the performance, “The Electrolite”,  in the SG50 Youth Celebrate! 2015 Mass Display performance.
